STANDING ORDER

To

All District Child Protection Officers,

Subject: The running of a creche by creches under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a creche by creches.

2. The matter has been examined. Every creche carrying on the running of a creche shall make an application in Form VI to the Local Complaints Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The District Child Protection Officer shall ensure that complaint is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Local Complaints Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
