STANDING ORDER

To

All Motor Vehicles Inspectors,

Subject: The manufacture of motor vehicles by manufacturers of motor vehicles under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985 (Kerala Act 21 of 1985), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of motor vehicles by manufacturers of motor vehicles.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of motor vehicles carrying on the manufacture of motor vehicles shall make an application in Form 30 to the Licensing Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Motor Vehicles Inspector shall ensure that register of vehicles is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
