STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Development Project Officers,

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form IV to the Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Child Development Project Officer shall ensure that individual care plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
