STANDING ORDER
To
All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,
Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Goa within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.
3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Goa within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
