STANDING ORDER

To

All Circles Inspector of Excise,

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form H to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
