STANDING ORDER

All Assessors,

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form C to the Town Vending Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that register of properties is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
