STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Directors,

Subject: The running of a sports academy by sports academies under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Finance Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a sports academy by sports academies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sports academy carrying on the running of a sports academy shall make an application in Form B to the Sports Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director shall ensure that recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Telangana.
