STANDING ORDER

To

All Licensing Officers,

Subject: The business of an advertising agency by advertising agencies under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of an advertising agency by advertising agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every advertising agency carrying on the business of an advertising agency shall make an application in Form VI to the Press Registrar within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Licensing Officer shall ensure that programme is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Press Registrar within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
