STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The consumption of energy by a designated consumer by designated consumers under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the consumption of energy by a designated consumer by designated consumers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every designated consumer carrying on the consumption of energy by a designated consumer shall make an application in Form V to the Appropriate Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that test report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appropriate Commission within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
