STANDING ORDER

To

All Superintendents of the Home,

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form VI to the District Child Protection Unit within three days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Superintendent of the Home shall ensure that individual care plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Child Protection Unit within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
