STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an early warning system carrying on the operation of an early warning system shall make an application in Form E to the State Authority within one day, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Kerala.
