STANDING ORDER
To
All Registrars of the Council,
Subject: The sale of drugs by licensees under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1949), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of drugs by licensees.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of drugs shall make an application in Form 20 to the Drugs Controller within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. The Registrar of the Council shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Drugs Controller within fourteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
