STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 1985), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of hazardous chemicals carrying on the transport of hazardous chemicals shall make an application in Form C to the National Executive Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that hazard map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
