STANDING ORDER
To
All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,
Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Punjab within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Punjab within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab.
