STANDING ORDER

All Examination Controllers,

Subject: The running of a hostel by hostels under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Environment Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a hostel by hostels.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hostel carrying on the running of a hostel shall make an application in Form A to the School Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Examination Controller shall ensure that certificate of recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the School Tribunal within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
