STANDING ORDER

To

All Canal Officers,

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Rajasthan within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Canal Officer shall ensure that source of water is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Rajasthan within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Rajasthan.
