STANDING ORDER

All Anganwadi Supervisors,

Subject: The running of a child care institution by child care institutions under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a child care institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the running of a child care institution shall make an application in Form VIII to the Juvenile Justice Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Anganwadi Supervisor shall ensure that inspection report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Juvenile Justice Board within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
