STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Commissioners,

Subject: The working of an organisation for persons with disabilities by registered organisations under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018 (Maharashtra Act 62 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of an organisation for persons with disabilities by registered organisations.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered organisation carrying on the working of an organisation for persons with disabilities shall make an application in Form IV to the State Commissioner within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner shall ensure that scholarship is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Commissioner within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
