STANDING ORDER
To
All Seed Inspectors,
Subject: Membership of a society by members under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Information Technology Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to membership of a society by members.
2. The matter has been examined. Every member carrying on membership of a society shall make an application in Form C to the Seed Certification Agency within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Seed Inspector shall ensure that market fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Seed Certification Agency within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Punjab.
