STANDING ORDER
To
All Plant Protection Officers,
Subject: The sale of insecticides by dealers in insecticides under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Information Technology Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of insecticides by dealers in insecticides.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in insecticides carrying on the sale of insecticides shall make an application in Form H to the Director of Agriculture within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. The Plant Protection Officer shall ensure that planting material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Punjab.
