STANDING ORDER

All Civil Defence Officers,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form D to the District Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Civil Defence Officer shall ensure that relief material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
