STANDING ORDER

All Superintendents of the Copying Department,

Subject: The practice of law by legal practitioners under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the practice of law by legal practitioners.

2. The matter has been examined. Every legal practitioner carrying on the practice of law shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar General within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Superintendent of the Copying Department shall ensure that process is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar General within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
