STANDING ORDER

All Block Education Officers,

Subject: The imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Home Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an online education platform carrying on the imparting of education by electronic means shall make an application in Form F to the Board of Secondary Education within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Block Education Officer shall ensure that attendance register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Secondary Education within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
