STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act 15 of 1960), the Home Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall make an application in Form B to the Adjudicating Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that rent receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Adjudicating Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
