STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Fire Officers,

Subject: Service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every civil defence volunteer carrying on service as a civil defence volunteer shall make an application in Form D to the State Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Station Fire Officer shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.
