STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The distribution of films by distributors of films under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the distribution of films by distributors of films.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall make an application in Form III to the Registering Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that programme is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
