CIRCULAR

To

All Chief Medical Officers,

Subject: Dealing in medical devices by dealers in medical devices under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 (30 of 2019), the National Medical Commission hereby issues the following

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in medical devices by dealers in medical devices.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in medical devices carrying on dealing in medical devices shall make an application in Form 25 to the District Registering Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in medical devices is undertaken, and the District Registering Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this circular may be brought to the notice of the National Medical Commission.
