STANDING ORDER

To

All Adjutants,

Subject: The provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private security service in a cantonment carrying on the provision of security services in a cantonment shall make an application in Form B to the Defence Estates Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Adjutant shall ensure that notice of manoeuvres is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Defence Estates Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
