STANDING ORDER

To

All Survey Commissioners,

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form D to the Registrar of Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Survey Commissioner shall ensure that donation receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Societies within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha.
