STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1983), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 8 to the Collector within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
