STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that excisable article is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
