STANDING ORDER
To
All Relief Officers,
Subject: The operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Tourism Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an early warning system carrying on the operation of an early warning system shall make an application in Form F to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Relief Officer shall ensure that shelter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Gujarat.
