STANDING ORDER

To

All commanding officers,

Subject: The operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a firing range carrying on the operation of a firing range shall make an application in Form F to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The commanding officer shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
