STANDING ORDER

To

All Seed Inspectors,

Subject: The production of agricultural produce by producers under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1987), the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the production of agricultural produce by producers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every producer carrying on the production of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Seed Inspector shall ensure that planting material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Tamil Nadu within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
