STANDING ORDER

To

All Irrigation Inspectors,

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the Finance Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form G to the River Basin Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Irrigation Inspector shall ensure that tube well is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the River Basin Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
