STANDING ORDER

All Gram Sevaks,

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Revenue Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 8 to the Zila Parishad within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Gram Sevak shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Zila Parishad within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Rajasthan.
