STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Development Officers,

Subject: The construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall make an application in Form 1 to the District Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Village Development Officer shall ensure that market is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan.
