STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Officers,

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Information Technology Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form B to the Collector within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Goa.
