STANDING ORDER

To

All Highway Administration Officers,

Subject: The use of a motor vehicle by owners of a motor vehicle under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985 (Kerala Act 21 of 1985), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of a motor vehicle by owners of a motor vehicle.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a motor vehicle carrying on the use of a motor vehicle shall make an application in Form 23 to the Licensing Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Highway Administration Officer shall ensure that goods receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
