STANDING ORDER

To

All Executive Engineers,

Subject: The management of an irrigation system by a water user association by water user associations under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of an irrigation system by a water user association by water user associations.

2. The matter has been examined. Every water user association carrying on the management of an irrigation system by a water user association shall make an application in Form G to the Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Executive Engineer shall ensure that canal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan.
