STANDING ORDER

To

All Drawing and Disbursing Officers,

Subject: The procurement of goods and services by procuring entities under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the procurement of goods and services by procuring entities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every procuring entity carrying on the procurement of goods and services shall make an application in Form GFR 12-A to the Finance Commission within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer shall ensure that audit report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Finance Commission within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat.
