New Delhi, dated the 27th April, 2017

STANDING ORDER

All Station Fire Officers,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the Environment Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form C to the Relief Commissioner within one day, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Station Fire Officer shall ensure that register of shelters is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
