STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Firms,

Subject: The business of a commission agent by commission agents under the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1961), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a commission agent by commission agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every commission agent carrying on the business of a commission agent shall make an application in Form C to the Director of Industries within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Registrar of Firms shall ensure that warehouse receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Industries within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
