STANDING ORDER

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The working of a brick kiln in a village by owners of a brick kiln in a village under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 3 of 1959), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brick kiln in a village by owners of a brick kiln in a village.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a brick kiln in a village carrying on the working of a brick kiln in a village shall make an application in Form 8 to the Zila Parishad within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that village map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Zila Parishad within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
