STANDING ORDER

To

All Circles Inspector of Excise,

Subject: The working of a brewery by brewers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brewery by brewers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that transport pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
