STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Superintending Archaeologists,

Subject: The plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1966), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a tourist vehicle carrying on the plying of a tourist vehicle shall make an application in Form II to the Director General within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Superintending Archaeologist shall ensure that tourist is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director General within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
