STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of excisable articles by transporters.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form A to the Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that transport pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
