STANDING ORDER

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person removing earth from Government land carrying on the removal of earth from Government land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Goa.
