STANDING ORDER

To

All Provost Marshals,

Subject: Service in the Force by enrolled persons under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to service in the Force by enrolled persons.

2. The matter has been examined. Every enrolled person carrying on service in the Force shall make an application in Form D to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Provost Marshal shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
