STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Energy Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Bihar.
